WRITING ON THE WALL

I had been writing a book so it kept me away from the blog, but a lot has changed during this time, suddenly a new India has emerged, the politics is transforming, the youth of the country had be signalling the leaders to change course since last five years, those who did not see the writing on the wall, see themselves plunged into depths, lower than ever in history. The country now demands complete accountability from those they have installed in power, and they want these people to be their mere representatives, NOT rulers....wow I couldn't imagine I will see this mood in my lifetime. There is no incumbency for leaders who do well, they are rewarded with thumping re-elections, In Delhi Sheila Dikshit who had delivered extremely good governance and had a lot of development work to her credit that was visible to naked eye to see over last fifteen years, yet she was decimated because she came out looking extremely suspicious on her handling and dealing in commonwealth games, these suspicions were strengthened by the movement launched by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal, and a 125 year old congress party has been reduced to shambles from which it might take another ten years to recover...the message is clear, Indian public is not going to tolerate corruption. The mood of the country is clear, they do not want a weak government at center, regional satraps who are eying king maker roles post next general elections will feel exactly the way Meena felt in Rajashthan when the results poured in, we still hear regional Satraps like Mulayam Singh Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Naveen Patnayak and Mamta Banerjee make a din about third front, they are still not reading the writing on the wall, and they will be in for a huge shock next year. The youth of India has announced, that they will no longer be treated as a vote bank, they have demonstrated the hue of communalism will not scare them to vote en-mass for a supposedly secular party. This has suddenly left parties like congress bereft of ideas as they always thought, do what you want, and then say we fight communal forces and retain power...the educated and informed Indians no longer buy this argument. These are interesting times and winds of change are blowing thick and fast, and time is less for the political outfits, and i dare say, if they do not change tracks soon and address youth the way they expect their representatives must....we will see a BJP landslide...Narendra Modi has termed the general elections Mission 272+ its because he was a controversial figure to whom other parties wouldn't like to ally with... but the way situation is unfolding, it appears Mission 272 will be plus 50-70 more, the writing is on the wall...people do not also need to stare hard at it...because its so clear.
